Joan Frawley Desmond has a piece titled "Same-Sex Marriage: In-Laws Optional?", in which she notes that bride+groom couples who are overly showy and focused on the wedding ceremony don't seem to have long, happy marriages. She ties this in to the push to neuter marriage. My comments are over at The Opine Editorials. I promise this is the last time I will direct you over there... today.
