Patrick Collins, director of the Claremont Institute's Golden State Center for State and Local
Government, responded to a recent
Los Angeles Times editorial by making the case that a California constitutional convention isn't likely to work.

Californians should not mistake a widely shared dislike of
our political situation with shared agreement on what constitutes the common
good.
