Hillary Clinton Delusional?

Hillary Clinton is like the ex-girlfriend who shows up at a wedding hoping that the groom will dump his bride and marry her instead.

Obama is treating her like he's keeping her around in case things get boring with his bride.

(I'll use marriage analogies as long as the they still make sense.  Once Counterfeit Marriage takes hold, the analogies will no longer make sense.)

McCain's VP: Go Female

With it looking like Senator Clinton will lose the Dem nomination to B. Hussein Obama, McCain can take advantage of some of the disappointed women who were supporting Clinton largely do to her XX chromosome status.  While I think it is silly to vote for a ticket based on the sex or skin color of the candidates, the fact is that many people clearly do just that, and elections are about winning.

I don't believe that all of the Senator Clinton supporters who insisted they would not vote for Obama really won't vote for him come November.  If they are staunch Dems or Leftists, they will prefer Obama over McCain.  Perhaps some will sit out the election or vote for a write-in or third party candidate.

But maybe there are enough Clinton supporters who would vote for McCain if his running mate was female.

Just something to consider.

It’s the Business Owner, Not the Politician, Who Creates Jobs

H. Rodham Clinton and B. Hussein Obama, according to this report by Steven R. Hurst of the Associated Press, are promising to be Santa Claus again, this time with jobs.
Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton is proposing billions of dollars a year Wednesday to keep jobs from being shipped abroad as she appealed to blue collar workers in Pennsylvania, the next big primary contest where she hopes to trim rival Barack Obama's lead.
That is not the President’s job – to spend money “to keep jobs from being shipped abroad”.  You know what sends jobs abroad?  Companies find they can get more done for less trouble and expense elsewhere.  Why?  Federal interference is one reason.
But the former first lady showed no signs of quitting as she focused on job creation and challenges to the U.S. economy at campaign appearances across Pennsylvania, which holds the next primary contest on April 22 with 158 delegates at stake.
The only jobs a President creates are government jobs.
At an economic summit in Pittsburgh on Wednesday organized by her presidential campaign, Clinton was expected to propose the elimination of tax breaks for companies that move jobs to other countries and use the savings to provide $7 billion a year in tax incentives to persuade companies to "insource" jobs in the United States
Bait and rebates… enough already.  If you’re going to have business taxes, make them even.  Do not give companies “welfare”.  But do not punish them, either, unless they commit personal or property crimes.  That’s what our government is supposed to be about – protecting us from threats to our property or our selves.  It isn’t there to redistribute wealth, or run our lives for us, or make us feel good.
Pennsylvania and other states holding upcoming primaries, including Indiana and Kentucky, have suffered the loss of manufacturing jobs in recent years and have yet to transition to new industries and other ways of expanding their economies.
And the best thing the President can do it to get out of the way and tell people to take care of themselves and not rely on “someone else” to make sure they have a job.
Clinton's plan would offer new tax benefits for research and job development. It would also create "innovation and research clusters" and provide $500 million annually in investments to encourage the creation of high-wage jobs in clean energy.
More bait and rebates.  STOP!  If a President really had the ability to create high-wage jobs, why not create 100 million high wage jobs, and make is so everyone in the U.S. has a high wage job?  Does HRC think only so many people are worthy of high wage jobs, but don't currently have one?
"Senator McCain has been saying I don't understand national security, but he's the one who wants to keep tens of thousands of United States troops in Iraq for as long as 100 years," Obama said.
Another non-sequitur from B. Hussein Obama.  That’s okay – the MySpace generation won’t pick up on that.  They can barely remember what was said two seconds ago.
"One hundred years in a country that had nothing to do with 9/11 may make sense to George Bush and John McCain but it is the wrong thing to do," Obama said, drawing applause at the town-hall session.
And Germany had nothing to do with Pearl Harbor, and yet we’re still there.
McCain spokesman Tucker Bounds said Obama's remarks showed his "complete lack of preparedness to be commander in chief."
"His attempt to paint McCain's position as something else is nothing but the disingenuous, old-style politics that he claims to reject," Bounds said.
Exactly.
Clinton assaulted McCain as a candidate who would stand back and watch as the U.S. economy spiraled downward and blamed Bush for the nation's deepening financial difficulties.
Better a President stand back and do nothing than make things worse and punish people who have been  responsible with their finances.  The problem is, the federal government already does too much.  If it did nothing, we’d be better off.
She announced support for a plan to create 3 million new jobs to rebuild the U.S. infrastructure.

Obama latched onto the same theme, promising to create jobs by using $60 billion he said would be saved by ending the Iraq war.

These people either have a complete lack of economic understanding, or they think YOU have.  I suspect the latter.

Jobs are created by businesses.  People get jobs by offering something for which other people are willing to pay – labor, time, expertise, skill, creativity, whatever.  The more a business can produce goods and services for which other people will pay, the more jobs it will create.

Sexual Harassment is a Serious Issue

...unless it is a Leftist doing it.

So Chelsea Clinton thinks something involving perjury and sexual harassment is “none of your business”.  While I can understand her discomfort and her desire to defend and promote her mother, this is yet another illustration that Leftists think the rules don’t apply to them, only other people.

Forget the perjury aspect.  Either the government (= the American people) should be involved in regulating employer-employee interactions and fighting “sexual harassment”, or it shouldn’t.  Ah, but when the feminists and Leftists pushed to make sexual harassment a serious issue requiring government involvement, it was only supposed to be used against certain people, like, oh, a judicially restrained SCOTUS nominee.  It was never supposed to be used against a Leftist, pro-abortion President.  Why can’t we vast right-wing conspiracists accept that?  Why must we take feminist causes seriously when we’re not supposed to?  Shame on us.

Let’s get it through our skulls: Sexual harassment policies are there to keep regular men from showing or expressing interest in the female form, especially if those men are not in a position of power,  nor wealthy.  They aren’t meant to keep lecherous philandering Leftists from getting their jollies.  The sooner we accept that, the sooner we can get along and “reach across the aisle”.

Perhaps someone should ask Miss Clinton if sexual harassment and perjury are public or private issues?  Or if bosses should be able to receive sexual favors from an intern?  Please... somebody try this.

Hillary Clinton's Privacy Violated? Cry Me A River

It's kind of hard to muster any sympathy for Senator Hillary Clinton regarding her privacy being violated with unauthorized access to her passport files.  I seem to recall something about her and Bill having a bunch of other peoples' FBI files.

Get Obama to Commit to NOT Being VP

I want the drive-by media reporters to ask B. Hussein Obama the following question:

"You have stated that you are not running for Vice-President.  Will you commit to rejecting that spot on the November ballot?"

I think Dem voters have a right to know whether or not a Hillary Clinton-B. Hussein Obama ticket can happen or not.

LA Mayor Out and About Stumping For Hillary

The Los Angeles Times Staff Writer Duke Helfand has this piece on Mayor Tony Villar, officially know as Antonio Villaraigosa (Raigosa being his ex-wife’s name).  This guy tries to be the Latino Obama.  He is usually constantly at photo ops and tries to smooth through everything.  As if the City of Los Angeles Mayor didn’t have enough to do already, he tried to take over the Los Angeles Unified School District, which includes many other cities in addition to L.A.

Lately, though, he’s been out of the city a lot, stumping for Hillary Clinton.  You need to know about this guy, because if he’s going to try to be the Governor of California (Hillary will no doubt campaign for him if she is President), or will try to get a position in a Clinton administration.
For more than 2 1/2 years, Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa has been the public face of Los Angeles, appearing in one neighborhood after the next and often leading the nightly news.

But over the last two months, he has devoted noticeable time and energy to a cause outside the city. By today, the mayor will have spent 18 of the last 65 days on the road for presidential candidate Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.) -- visiting Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada and Texas as the primary election season has intensified.
I wonder if Obama will take him in should Hillary bow out?
Deputy Mayor Sean Clegg said Villaraigosa views the Clinton campaign as an investment in the city's future. A Democratic president, the mayor believes, would concentrate money and attention on the needs of big cities.

"The mayor said it many times: This is the most important presidential election in his lifetime," Clegg said.
Isn’t that always the case?  It’s like saying “This year’s group on American Idol is the most talented ever!”, or “The most shocking rose ceremony ever!”
Villaraigosa has become one of Clinton's most loyal and effective voices on the stump, a prominent Latino politician who has drawn crowds in Las Vegas, San Antonio and other heavily Latino areas. Since October, he has visited Nevada five times, Iowa three times, Texas twice and New Hampshire once, according to a schedule provided by his office.

His tireless efforts have not gone unnoticed by Clinton, who singled out Villaraigosa after she won Nevada's Democratic caucuses in January. The mayor has been talked about as a potential Cabinet nominee in a Clinton White House, although he has said privately that he has no interest in such a job.

On the stump, Villaraigosa travels with a press deputy from his City Hall staff and members of the Los Angeles Police Department security detail that accompanies him around the clock whether he is in the city or away.

The mayor's office said the Clinton campaign covers the cost of flights and hotels for him and his press aide, but the two pick up their food expenses. The city typically pays the travel, hotel and food costs for the LAPD officers, according to police spokeswoman Mary Grady. On three occasions in the fall, the Clinton campaign paid hotel and airfare expenses for the officers before those involved realized that the city covers the costs.

The two press aides who trade off campaign swings -- Matt Szabo and Janelle Erickson -- use their vacation time as well as personal cellphones on the trips because they are barred by city and state law from engaging in political work on the job.

It’s all scratch my back, and I’ll scratch yours.

I’m so happy that I don’t live or work in the City of Los Angeles.

It Is the Medical Pro, Not the Politician, Who Gives Health Care

I caught some of "Larry King Live" this past Friday night, when he had on various panelists to discuss the campaign for POTUS.  It was a mix of serious political commentators and performers.  A couple of the panelists were touting their candidates, B. Hussein Obama, and Hillary Clinton, as having given X number of people health care.

Excuse me, but politicians, unless they happen to be doctors, never give ANYONE health care.  It is the doctor, the nurse, the technician, the pharmacist, the hospital administrator, the pharmecuetical company, the medical device company, and the investor who gives health care to people.  The most a politician can do to give someone health care under their political authority is to take money by force from someone who has earned it and redistribute it to someone else so that it can pay the costs of health care.

Neither Clinton nor Obama slogged through medical school, or studied nursing, invented a new medical device, or welded part of the structure for a new hosptial.  Millions of hard-working people have labored to provide health care, and they deserve to be able to choose how and when to provide their services, and to be compensated at market rates.

Hillary’s Latest Nanny State Proposal

Wait a minute.  I thought contraception and abortion were going to prevent children living in poverty.  What happened?

Mike Glover of the Associated Press writes about Hillary's “child poverty plan”.
Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton is offering a plan to improve childhood nutrition and setting a goal to reduce by half the 12 million youngsters living in poverty over the next dozen years.
Notice he called her “Democrat”.  That means he likes the plan, or thinks the reader will.  Otherwise, he would have left that out.

But if we can reduce “childhood poverty” through federal government programs (and over 40 years of history say we can't), then why stop with half of the 12 million?  Why not go for all of them?
A package of proposals, to be unveiled Thursday, includes a "comprehensive" early education initiative that starts with nurse's visits for pregnant women, lets children begin the Head Start program earlier and calls for universal pre-kindergarten programs.
Oh boy.  Where to start.  “Comprehensive” must mean that this will include illegal aliens.  Isn’t that what the word means now?  Universal pre-kindergarten?  Why not just have the teacher union managers catching the babies as they come out and take them away immediately?  Wny not put kids in failing education institutions for MORE of their lives?
The New York senator also says she would deal with childhood hunger by putting in place a food safety net, and give children "greater access to healthy, fresh food."
Yes, looking around, I can see that our kids are starving.  Starving so much, they can barely fit into their clothes.  Fresh food is all around us.  In some places, people have burned down stores providing healthy food, and they should have to live with the consequences of their actions.
Clinton aides said the new programs would carry and annual pricetag of $5 billion to $6 billion.
Which means they will actually cost a lot more.  But hey, how can we pass up a chance to extend the Nanny State?
She would cover the cost by toughening enforcement to collect taxes currently owed but not paid.
In other words, by having the IRS go after people who didn’t support her campaign.
Clinton said she would direct her agriculture secretary to develop a plan to end childhood hunger.
Here’s my plan: Have their parents feed them.  THERE!  DONE!!!
School breakfast programs would be universal in low-income neighborhoods under her proposal. She also would double the size of a summer nutrition program aimed at feeding low-income children when they aren't in school.
Remember: Support Hillary or you’ll starve!
In addition, Clinton was calling for stronger programs aimed at cutting teen pregnancy as well as toughening child support enforcement programs to "support responsible fatherhood."
Ah-HA!  Now we’re getting to the heart of the matter.  Most of the children living in “poverty” (which usually means they don’t have the latest plasma TV in their bedrooms) in our country are born to broken homes.  Save sex for marriage, and very few children will be in poverty.  It is that simple.  Why should my tax money go to taking care of you because of your freely chosen mistakes?
"While we celebrate America as a place where an individual's circumstances at birth should not determine his or her life chances, the fact is that economic mobility is now in decline in America," Clinton's background documents say. "Children born in poverty are likely to live in poverty their whole lives."
They are if they rely on the government to do things for them.  But I strongly doubt their assertion.  I want proof.

What has happened to this country?  How did we let this happen?  Enough with the fascists and socialists!

The Real Reason Fidel Quit

He's been made redundant by Hillary Clinton and B. Hussein Obama.  Listening to their speeches tonight, it sounded like something Fidel Castro or any communist could write.

It's sad that people fall for it, too.  Most of those cheering crowds have no idea how screwed up things would be if Clinton or Obama got everything they claim they want.

I Don’t Need Your Help, Hillary!

I heard Hillary say “we need to take care of the middle class.”  Who is this “we”?  Apparently, she means Washington D.C. politicians.

Well, Hillary, as a member of the middle class, let me say… “no thanks”.  I don’t want your help if it comes in the form of more government programs, restrictions, and social engineering.

Do you know what I need?  I need less interference in my life from Washington.  There are things the federal government is doing that either no government should be doing, or state and local governments should be doing.  I need you to let me decide what to do with more of my own money.  I don’t need your involvement in my dealings with my employer, or my insurance companies, or anyone I voluntarily choose to hire to perform a service for me.

Here’s what I do need from our elected officials in Washington, D.C.:

--Aggressive, sound national defense, including disrupting terrorist networks and thwarting terrorist plots.

--A secure national border

--The appointment of judges who will interpret law instead of making new law.

--Basically, only the things the Constitution specifically instructs Congress and the President to do.

Those are things that help all Americans, not just the “middle class”.
