Playful Walrus Update

Happy New Year!

Thanks for continuing to read this blog, and for e-mailing and commenting and linking.  I'm not sure how often I'll be blogging here for the next several days, due to the holiday weekend.

However, you can find me on Facebook, which I'll probably be checking daily.  Friend me on there and we can network.

I do have an announcement to make.

I have joined The Opine Editorials!

The Opine Editorials has this purpose:
Defending marriage on the firm ground of reason and respect for human dignity.

Encompassing the marriage related topics of gendered biology, kin anthropology, family law and policy.
If that sounds interesting to you, or if you have enjoyed my entries here on marriage, please check it out.

I haven't decided yet if my participation there will mean shifting my marriage-and-family issues blogging mostly to that blog.  Even if I do, I will still blog regularly here on Townhall.com, as I enjoy blogging about a variety of political-cultural issues.

I may occasionally cross-post.  I'll just have to see how it goes.

Have a blessed New Year!

Playful Walrus Update

It’s great to be quoted again on the front page of Townhall.com.  Thanks to the website editors for that, and thanks to all of you for reading, commenting, and sending e-mail.  As of this posting, I’m ranked #5 for Los Angeles area blogs – thanks to your visits.

The quote on the front page is from this posting, entitled “Voter Suppression Drive”.

Also, you can check out the column on the right for featured blog entries (scroll down for the entire list) and for other blogs.

Here are some of my other entries from this year that might be of interest:

Why I’m Voting for Obama
Imaginary Rights
I Saw “An American Carol”
Two Things on Which Our Financial System Should Rely
What We Mean When We Say “The Homosexual Agenda”
Not All Freedoms are Rights
Are You Ready For a Post-Christian America?
Ask Not What the Government Will Do For You
Obama Will Magically Stop Domestic Violence
Obama Will Save Me From Credit Card Debt
Conservatives Can’t Influence if They Sit on Their Hands

Playful Walrus Update

Thanks for continuing to check in on this blog and for your feedback.  Posting will probably be light over the next several days as I take care of some other things.

If you haven't done so already, consider reading through the links in the column on the right.

Reminder: Don't Poke the LEFTIST Trolls or RAT

There's nothing to see there.

Our community here on Townhall.com certainly has its share of Leftist and contrarian trolls, doesn’t it?

You know the people I’m talking about - the ones who constantly blog with Leftist postings, usually parroted or repeated, designed to rile up conservatives - especially the ones who don’t allow comments.

I’m not talking about the people who make thoughtful or sincere responses to our own blog postings or to columns.

I’m talking about the trolls who are seeking attention for attention’s sake, apparently to waste your time because they have so much time to waste themselves.

There are better places for us to peruse blogs of opinions, thoughts, and experiences different from our own.  Unlike Lefists, we don’t panic when someone disagrees with us, so we go to those places to see what the Left has to say.

Apparently, some Leftists like Townhall.com better, and so they troll away here.

Don’t poke them.  Don’t even click over to their blog entries.  They confuse the traffic for agreement with their paranoid assertions.  It’s best to leave them alone as they post away from the basement of their mother’s home.  They need to vent, because a lack of understanding about how the world works can be frustrating, especially for someone who can't take disagreement.

Pray for them.  Don’t poke them.

Same goes for paranoid fringe masquerading as conservatives.

American 4 ENDLESS REPETITION

Sometimes, I think mental health experts should be able to diagnose mental illness or behavioral disorders simply by reading the titles of a blogger's postings.
